IEEE Computer Society Chapter is seeking award nominations for the following Technical Awards:


2013 Harry H. Goode Memorial Award


The Harry H. Goode Award recognizes achievements in the information processing field.

Past recipient:
Dr. Arvind - "For fundamental contributions to research in dataflow computing, memory models, and cache coherence protocols".

2013 W. Wallace McDowell Award


The W. Wallace McDowell Award honors the outstanding recent theoretical, design, educational, practical, innovative contributions within the computing field.

2013 Technical Achievement Award


The Technical Achievement Award honors outstanding and innovative contributions to computer and information science and engineering or computer technology, usually within the past 10 years.

Past recipient:
Prof. Michael Franz - "For pioneering contributions to just-in-time compilation and optimization, significantly advancing web application technology".

Also, accepting nominations for the Computer Entrepreneur Award and the Computer Pioneer Award:

The Computer Entrepreneur Award honors the technical and entrepreneurial leaders who are responsible for the growth of the computer industry.

The Computer Pioneer Award honors individuals whose contributions to the development of the computer field occur at least 15 years earlier.

 The nominations deadline is 15 October 2012.   IEEE Computer Society Awards are presented at the Annual Awards ceremony during the Board of Governors Meetings.  

Nominations are accepted electronically or via email.  Self-nominations will not be accepted.
